Orchard Priory are keen advocates of the use of natural, traditional materials, for their beauty, their sympathy with the environment and for their strength and durability.
For these reasons we are proud to work with Oak as the main material in the majority of our outdoor buildings, structures and furniture.
We use Green Oak (timber freshly sawn from recently felled trees that has not been through a drying process) as it is wonderfully easy to work with while ‘green’ but ages beautifully, hardening as it does so.
We use the traditional mortise and tenon (joint and peg) method to build solid structures which last and become a visually pleasing addition to your garden and grounds.
